Melanie Faye Churchwell, 52 of Waldorf, MD passed away on November 25, 2014 at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She was born on October 20, 1962 in Ruleville, MS to Johnnie Churchwell, Sr. and Maxine (Wilson) Churchwell. Melanie enjoyed being around friends and family, helping others, cross stitching and baking. She loved her family and her pets. Melanie volunteered at local food pantries and with the church angel tree. Melanie worked for the Architect of the Capitol as a purchasing agent. Melanie also worked at Southern Maryland Hospital. Family and friends will be received for Melanie’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
