Albert Russell Sandy, Sr., 79 of Mechanicsville, MD, died on December 15, 2014 at his residence in Mechanicsville, MD. He was born on March 13, 1935 in Washington, D.C., to the late Irving Leroy Sandy and the late Lillian Violett Sandy. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing, rides, TV, tinkering with cars, playing with Delila. Mostly, Albert loved being with family and the grandkids. In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by his brothers, Leroy and George Sandy, and his sister, Violett. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Alice Louise Sandy, son, Albert Sandy, Jr., daughters, Wanda E. Sandy, Rebecca Grossman, Jane Ellis (Todd), daughters from previous marriage: Debbie, Barbara, Teresa, Sharon, brother, Jimmy, sisters, Mary Ellen, Rose, Lilly, Margaret and grandchildren, Steven, Hayden, Essence, Camden, Tyler, Angie, Woody and four great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends for Albert’s Visitation on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622, www.brinsfieldecholsfuneral.com.
