Marvin Ardell Raley, 58 of Lexington Park died August 2 at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. Born Sept. 20, 1954 in Leonardtown, MD, he is the son of Burton Benedict Raley of Lexington Park, MD and the late Frances Florine Hayden Raley. Marvin is a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County. He is a graduate of Great Mills High School. On Sept. 30, 1983, he married his beloved wife, Mary Lee (Lee Lee) Raley. Together they celebrated thirty wonderful years together. He was employed by Burch Oil Company as a Car Wash Manager. He was a softball enthusiast and loved all aspects of the sport. He spent many happy years playing, coaching and umpiring the game. One of his favorite destinations was the Brass Rail Sports Bar. He always cheered on his favorite teams, the Washington Redskins, the Baltimore Orioles and the Maryland Terrapins. Marvin loved his Itty Bitty and “kids”, Cheya (aka: Girlie), Katie (aka: Boo) and newest addition to the canine family, Annie.
