Joanne Louise Myers Lauer, 73 of Hollywood, MD passed away on March 9, 2015 at her residence. Born September 21, 1941 in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Phyllis Louise Jones Myers and Albert Charles Myers. Joanne is survived by her husband Terry Lee Lauer, whom she married on April 14, 1963 in Christ Lutheran Church, York, PA, children; Eric Lee (Tamara) Lauer of Salisbury, MD, Kevin Lee (Wendi) Lauer of Apex, NC and Gregg Michael (Sarah) Lauer of Sykesville, MD, in addition to her parents Joanne was preceded in death by her sons Kent Phillip and Kevin Charles Lauer. Joanne graduated from York Central High School in 1959; she worked as a secretary for Leonardtown High School for 20 years retiring on July 1, 2007. Joanne was active with the Leonardtown High School Athletic Boosters Club for 10 years. Upon retiring she was a member of the Maryland State Retirees Association for St. Mary’s County, she volunteered at the Hollywood Methodist Church helping with the Happy Hearts Program; she also helped crochet prayer shawls for the Mt.
