George Anthony DeLozier, Jr. 62 of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on April 14, 2015 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on September 16, 1952, in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of Margaret C. DeLozier of Mechanicsville, MD, and the late George A. DeLozier, Sr. George was the loving husband of Wanda DeLozier, whom he married on August 3, 1990 in Charlotte Hall, MD. George is survived by children: Kristi Ninos (Dave) of Baltimore, MD, George DeLozier, III. of Mechanicsville, MD, two grand children: Henry DeLozier, and Lydia Ninos. Siblings: Betty Ann Murphy (Lewis) and Robert Wayne DeLozier (Dina) both of Mechanicsville, MD. He was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD Resident, and graduated from Chopticon High School in 1970. George was a Sergeant with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department, retiring in 1999 after 24 years of service. He was a member of the Maryland Blue Knights Chapter 4. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral, Home Leonardtown, MD.
