Joseph Howard Gatton, Jr., 67 of Dameron, MD died May 5, 2015 at Hospice House of St. Mary’s in Leonardtown, MD. He was born on October 2, 1947 in Dameron, MD to the late Joseph Howard Gatton, Sr. and Anna Delores Tephabock. Joseph proudly served in the United States Navy from January 3, 1969 to December 8, 1972. He was employed by ManTech as a dedicated software technician until his retirement. On September 27, 1997, he married his beloved wife, Cynthia Ann Kay Gatton. Together they celebrated over 17 wonderful years together. He was very savvy in electronics and enjoyed working with them. He travelled extensively with his job and enjoyed visiting many countries, particularly, Rome, China, Japan, and Tel Aviv, Israel. He also enjoyed boating and crabbing with his father. He had an extensive coin collection. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 255 and a certified deep sea diver.
