Vincent Charles “Vinnie” Warring, 85 of Waldorf, MD passed away at his residence on May 6, 2015 in the company of his family and close friends after a long battle with lung disease. Born November 5, 1929 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late James T. Warring and Martha L. Danforth Warring. Vinnie was a lifelong employee of James T. Warring Sons, Inc.; his father’s barrel and drum company and served as the president since 1976. Vinnie was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bryantown. He was concerned for the Catholic schools in the Southern Maryland region and served on the Archdiocese School Board and was President of St. Mary’s Bryantown Parent Teacher Association in the 70’s. As a young man, while attending St. John’s College High School in Washington, DC, he earned the nickname of “Cheetah” for his running speed and endurance. He also enjoyed the Yo-Yo and displayed his talents often. His passion for electric trains was evident by his collection and enjoyment of smiling faces while sharing them with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
