Sandra Louise Mattson, 76 of Hollywood, MD, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 31, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph and Martha Mattson, but spent most of her life in Baltimore, MD. Sandra loved ballet as a young child. She also enjoyed taking care of “her baby” brother. She was a rebellious red head that at times stayed in trouble, like the time she and friends played in the poison ivy patch and she was the only one NOT to get poison ivy. In the 80’s she was part of Section 34 “ROWDERYS” at Memorial Stadium and met many of the Oriole players. She was also a good friend with Wild Bill Hagey. She was employed as an efficient bookkeeper and data entry clerk for The Belvedere Hotel, John’s Hopkins Hospital, Cardware, Sea King and Crab Shanty, until her retirement. She had 3 biological children but was a fill-in mom for many in her younger years.
