Charles “Chuck” Edwin Webb, 69 California, MD left this world due to a stroke, on August 9, 2015, for a place better than we all can imagine. He was born to Desyl Lockwood Webb and Henry Edwin Webb, Charlottesville VA. He graduated Senior Class President at Fluvanna County High School (’64). He was a member of Palmyra Methodist Church. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering (’68) and the US Naval Test Pilot School, Class 53 (’69) followed by a career with the Naval Air Base at Patuxent River MD. He was selected Outstanding Test Project Engineer of the Year, received the John E. Burdette Award by the Society of Engineers and Scientists, the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award, and was awarded national recognition for the Kelly Johnson Award displayed within the Smithsonian Institute Air and Space Museum. He was honored to have his name added to a test pilot plane on display at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum.
