John Henry Young, 66 of Aquasco, MD passed at P.G. General in Cheverly , MD on Thursday, September 23, 2015. Born September 10, 1949 in Prince Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Walter Young and the late Jane Elizabeth Gardiner Young. John was the owner of Young’s Trucking and went by the nickname “Watermelon”. He was presently working at Hardesty Construction as an equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was a Nationals fan, Redskins fan and an avid Tony Stewart fan with NASCAR. John tinkered with things in his garage, loved country music, and pushed snow for the state highway with his dump truck. He also coached with the Baden- Aquasco Little League for 7 years. John was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. John is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Young of 43 years; son Kevin Young (Theresa); daughters, Kimberly Lantz (Michael), Kristie Chramek (Andrew); grandchildren, Anthony and Justin Young, Alexis and Jamie Lantz, Marissa, Madison, Miranda and Mallory Chramek; sisters, Hallie Crance and Sally Jameson; brother, Robert Young; and many nieces and nephews.
