Rodney L. Ehnen, 54 of Mechanicsville, MD died at St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, MD on November 2, 2015 after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer. Rodney was born on March 18, 1961 in Cherokee, OK to Buzz Ehnen and Evelyn Shirley. Rodney was a devoted husband and a loving father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, the great outdoors and simply sitting on the front porch. He was a lifelong “diehard” fan of the Minnesota Vikings and missed no opportunity to see them in person when they were in town. After 21 years of service Rodney retired from the U.S. Air Force as a MSgt. He continued his work and love for aviation by joining The Boeing Company as a Field Service Rep supporting the Special Air Mission (Sam Fox) at Andrews A.F.B, the same mission he supported for the majority of his Air Force career. Rodney is survived by his wife of 27 years Marietta Ehnen; his sons, Rodney J. Ehnen, Drew A. Ehnen; brother, Jim Ehnen; sister-in-law, Diane Ehnen; nephews Jimmy Ehnen Jr. and Danny Ehnen.
