Wiley “Wawa” Melton Adams, 67, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away February 16, 2016 at his residence. Born June 4, 1948 in Rocky Mount, NC he was the son of the late, Leslie “Buddy” Adams and Irma Mae Crews Adams. Wiley worked as a Control Room Operator for PEPCO and retired after 27 years in 2004. Wiley served in the United States Navy and was a member of American Legion Post #238, Hughesville, MD and the Mechanicsville Moose Lodge # 495. Predeceased by his loving wife Linda Joann Scholzen. Wiley Adams is survived by his daughters, Denise (Keech) Edelen of White Plains, MD and Debra Reiter of Mechanicsville, MD; sister, Gail Lacey of Mechanicsville, MD and Wayne (Barbara) Adams of Hollywood, MD; 6 grandchildren, Jessica (Mark) Buchanan of La Plata, MD, Dustin (Brittany) Reiter of Hollywood, MD, Cody Reiter of Mechanicsville, MD, Heather, Keech and Courtney of White Plains, MD; and 1 great grandson, Cole Buchanan of La Plata, MD.
