James Alphonsus Carroll was born to the late William Francis Carroll and Mary Victoria Carroll on March 21, 1949 in Beachville, MD. James departed this life, transitioning on March 5, 2016 with his wife, Sharon, by his side. James received his education at St. Peter Claver Elementary School and Great Mills High School, where he graduated in 1969. He relocated to Washington, D.C. and began working for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (F.B.I.) in 1983. After 30 years of government service, James retired in 2013. James loved spending time with family and friends, watching television and playing cards. His favorite shows were Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and The Maury Show. James also loved football and The Redskins were his favorite team. James was meticulous about his appearance, especially his hair. He didn’t like for anyone to touch his hair under any circumstances. He had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to tease and clown around. His smile was infectious and everyone who knew him, had nothing but nice things to say about him; it’s exactly the kind of legacy he wanted to leave behind.
