Emily Anne Wilkerson, 39, of Waldorf, MD passed away September 5, 2016 at her residence. Born August 23, 1977 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Larry A. Wilkerson and Mary D. (Walrath) Wilkerson. Emily was a registered nurse, known for being a loving, caring and compassionate health care provider at Calvert Memorial Hospital, University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, Southern Maryland Hospital and the Hospice of Charles County. She loved reading, music, sunrises on the OBX, quiet times, and yes, exhilarating times that pushed her to her performance limits. Her “Bucket List” was shortened by the check-off of a sky diving outing during the past year. Emily was a very talented wind-mill fastpitch softball pitcher, during her high school and college days, but more recently could be seen trying to remove her own rust and convince her slow-pitch colleagues that all would be better served by eliminating the pitcher’s arc and bringing the ball across the plate with much more authority.
