William “Benny” Bush, 95, of Lexington Park, MD was called home on September 4, 2016 at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on February 1, 1921 in Budds Creek, MD to the late Andrew Sylvester Bush and Marie Tolbet. William received his education in the St. Mary’s County Public Schools. He joined the U. S. Army, where he served our country with courage and bravery to protect our freedom and was honorably discharged. William married the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Johnson. He did whatever was necessary to ensure she was safe, happy and cared for. They were blessed with 14 children. William began doing what he loved to do. He worked on the farm, did construction and worked in the union. He was a person of good moral character. He was a very likeable, fun, and loving person. He was always a positive person and loyal to his family and friends. He shined on all who knew him and had the opportunity to meet him.
