Leroy Ralph Wolfe, Jr., 85, passed peacefully on September 16, 2016, at the Hospice of St. Mary’s, Callaway, MD. He was born on August 10, 1931, in Washington, DC, the son of Leroy R. Wolfe, Sr., and Elenora Delores Chaconas Wolfe. At the time of his death, he was retired from the Potomac Electric Power Company, Washington, DC, after 40 years of service as a Lead Electrical Mechanic. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the District of Columbia Air National Guard during the Korean Conflict era. He loved his family in Maryland, Florida, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, crafter of muzzle loading rifles, and a Life Member of the National Rifle Association and the St. Charles Sportsman’s Club. He was also a member of Post 225, American Legion, Ridge; Sanners Lake Sportsmen’s Club; and the St. Mary’s County Historical Society. Surviving is his wife, Susan Jennifer Wolfe, Valley Lee, MD, Executive Director, St. Mary’s County Historical Society; his children, Beatrice A. Wolfe, Tallahassee, FL, Deborah Ann (Billy) Brown, Freeport, FL; Leroy R. Wolfe, III, Defuniak Springs, FL; and Catherine M. Wolfe, Westville, FL.
