George Hamilton Schuhart, (Uncle George), 88, of Bel Alton, MD formerly from Chaptico, MD, passed away on October 18, 2016 in Clinton, MD. Born on June 13, 1928, he was the son of the late Nellie Long Schuhart and William E. Schuhart. George was survived by his children: Jeffrey Long Schuhart of Bel Alton, MD, George Wayne Schuhart (Patricia) of Bel Alton, MD, Dennis Keith Schuhart of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Brent Schuhart of La Plata, MD, Gayle Marie Wells (Joseph) of Swan Point, MD, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son David Hamilton Schuart and siblings; Edward Schuhart, Mary Bosma, Elizabeth Fowler, Virginia Goff, Elsie Trapp, James Schuhart, Oscar Schuhart, Daniel Schuhart, and Annie Wallace. He graduated from Margaret Brent in 1946, and the University of MD in 1974 earning a Teaching Certificate. He was a lifelong Bel Alton, MD resident. George served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948. He served in World War II earning the Victory Medal.
