Deborah “Debbi” Joan Ward, 66, of Cheltenham, MD passed away on December 14, 2016 at her home. Born on July 18, 1950 in Carlisle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard Shaffer and the late Joan Fox Shaffer. Debbi is survived by her husband, William G. Ward, daughters, Kimberly M. Summers (Donnie), Valerie L. Watson (Brian) and her sisters, Cynthia Salesky and Gail Spears. Also surviving Debbi are her grandchildren, Samantha Summers, Shelby Summers, Anthony Lloyd and Leo Watson; 1 niece and 3 nephews. Debbi worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Prince Georges County Government and retired in 2012. She enjoyed reading, antiquing, cooking and grandparenting. All services will be private.
