Christine Flora Kohler, 83 of Garnerville, NY died February 10, 2014 at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, Maryland. Born December 3, 1930 in Irbersdorf, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Otto Marbach and Flora Marbach. Christine was a produce specialist for Pantry Pride in West Haverstraw for twenty five years. She was a fan of ice hockey, especially the New Jersey Devils. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, snow skiing, and swimming. She also enjoyed her many vacations with her family including those in Hawaii and Alaska. Christine is survived by her loving husband of sixty five years, Gottfried Kohler; her daughters, Kristina Yusko (Tom) of Oakland, MD and Carla Rowell (Tony) of Piney Point, MD; and two grandchildren, Thom Yusko and Carla Otsuka; three great grandchildren, Alyssa, Sonya and Xavier; and her brother, Gunther Marbach of Germany. A memorial service will be held in Rockland County, NY, at a later date.
