David William Hill, 87 of California, MD, passed away on July 6, 2014 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Born on October 25, 1926 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Van Buren Hill and Louise Mills Hill. David was a World War II Veteran. David worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Washington, D.C. from 1946 to 1958. He worked at the Chief of Mails at The White House from 1958 to 1977. Upon his retirement he was the Chief of Mails. David enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He was an avid Redskins fan. Family will receive friends on Friday July 11, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers recited at 7 p.m. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P. A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Raymond Schmidt and Father Frank Desiderio, CSP on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at St. John’s Francis Regis Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD.
