Ruth Ann Gatton, 70 of Hollywood, MD formerly from Sudlersville, MD, passed away on May 30, 2015 at her home. Born on August 1, 1944 in Galena, MD, she was the daughter of Evelyn Roe of Sudlersville, MD, and the late Walter Roe. Ruth was the loving wife of the late Steve A. Gatton, Sr, who she married on April 25, 1970 in Worton, MD, and whom preceded her in death on October 4, 2013. Ruth is survived by her children: Steve Gatton, Jr. (Chrissy) of Hollywood, MD, Dale Gatton (Becky) of Lusby, MD, and 3 grandchildren: Alex Gatton, Jocelyn Gatton, and Devon Gatton. Siblings: Nancy Lister of Church Hill, MD, and Walter Roe, Jr. of Sudlersville, MD. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Roe of Sudlersville, MD. Ruth graduated from Maryland School for the Deaf in 1963, and moved from Kent County, MD to St. Mary’s County, MD in April 1970. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. Ruth enjoyed playing cards, spending time with family, walking the farm, and picking hopps with Jeff.
