Barbara Anne Duvall, 78 of Aquasco, MD passed away at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital on May 26, 2014. She was born on November 11, 1935 in Washington, D.C. to the late Charles T. Unkle and the late Margaret C. (Porter) Unkle. As a devout Catholic, one of Barbara’s greatest joys was being a mentor to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the choir at St. Mary of the Assumption of Upper Marlboro, MD and the Ft. Washington Community Chorus. Barbara retired as a Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court. She was an author of a children’s book, and enjoyed drawing, illustrating, painting, and singing at the Kennedy Center during special occasions. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her sister, Doris Lameo. Barbara is survived by her children, John M. Duvall (Patricia), Paul T. Duvall (Patty O’Shea), Jennifer A. Beamer (Michael), and Cecilia M. Fox; brother, Charles Unkle; and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by the father of her children, John A. Duvall.
