Brenda Lee Bowling, 62, of Newburg, MD passed away peacefully on August 30, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by family. Born February 24, 1952 in Hughesville, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Lee Gibbons and Lucille Mae Willett Gibbons. Brenda worked as a Customer Service Representative for Verizon until she retired in 2003. She enjoyed playing slot machines at the casinos, slow dances with Eddie, Facebook, gardening, and watching her favorite TV shows: Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and cooking shows. She also enjoyed the Redskins, painting, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a great eye for decorating her home, and she attended many auctions looking for just the right antiques. Predeceased by her parents and sister Mary Ellen Edelen, Brenda is survived by her husband, Charles E. “Eddie” Bowling; children, Charles E.”Chris” Bowling, Jr. (Stacey), Amy S. Bowling (Bryan Cook) and Lisa Bowling Barrett (Justin); grandchildren, Cole and Luke Barrett, Tanner and Graham Bowling and one on the way, Elizabeth Mae.
