Evelyn Wohlfort Ehrmantraut, 85, of Lusby, MD, Luceat lux vestra – “Let Your Light Shine”, passed away on February 8, 2017 surrounded by her family at her side. She was born to the late Henry J. Wohlfort and Veronica J. (Hartmanowski) Wohlfort in Baltimore, MD in April, “That Month – A Bunny Came.” Evelyn met the love of her life, Dr. Wilfred R. “Bud” Ehrmantraut in Ocean City, MD and they were married at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Baltimore, MD in 1964. Evelyn enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time with them at the beach. But most of all, she loved being with her children and grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her children,Wilfred R. Ehrmantraut, Jr., M.D and his wife Michele and daughter, Mary Southard and her husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Ehrmantraut, Wilfred R. Ehrmantraut, III, Jonathan Ehrmantraut, Andrew Ehrmantraut, Emily Southard and Michael Southard; and brother, Richard Wohlfort. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lloyd (Jerry) Earl Brown, 77, of Valley Lee passed away Tuesday, February 7th, 2017. Son of the late Lloyd Brown, Sr. and late Alice Mildred Brown of Leonardtown, MD. Jerry was born July 29, 1939 in Leonardtown MD. He was a graduate of Leonardtown High School 1957. He received his Bachelor of Science from Western Maryland College in 1961 and later obtained his Masters in Computer Science. Jerry was in the U.S. Army at Ft Sill, Oklahoma before returning home to start his career at the Patuxent River Naval Air Test Center as a Computer Scientist, retiring in 1997 after 37 years of service. He was an avid reader and truly loved American history, particularly the Civil War and WWII. Jerry was an extremely talented wood worker making numerous treasured pieces of furniture for family and friends. Jerry was very active in his church at St. Georges Episcopal and later the Church of the Redeemer. An enthusiastic sports fan, he loved the Orioles, Redskins, Capitals and the Maryland Terps. Sean Michael Reingruber, 38, of Indian Head, MD died February 6, 2017 in Bryans Road, MD.  Sean was born in Fairfax, VA on October 31, 1978 to Michael Reingruber and the late Mary Menard Reingruber.  Sean started his own roofing and siding business.  He started his own construction company at age 19 and met his wife at age 17.  Family was everything to him.  Sean enjoyed golf, fishing, family vacations, boating and spending time with his children.  He loved the Lord and tried to enjoy life to the fullest. He always had a smile and made friends wherever he went.  Sean was very proud of his loving bond with his wife. Margaret Ann Barricklow, 69, of Hughesville, Maryland, passed away on February 7, 2017 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on February 16, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Alphonsus Mills Nelson and Ella Thompson Nelson. Margaret worked as a Nursing Assistant prior to becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed working in the yard, especially raking leaves; crabbing, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing cards, travelling, especially her trip to Niagra Falls and hanging out at the pool. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Darrell Barricklow and 13 brothers and sisters, Margaret is survived by her children, Michael Quade (Kristine) and Joyce Graves (Thomas Norsworthy); 2 grandchildren; Michael and Chelsea and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Edith Wenk, George (Jean) Nelson, Ethel (Joe) Cooper, Agnes (Tucker) Brown, Catherine (Jimmy) Tuner, Betty Russell and Frankie (Evelyn) Nelson.  Escorting Margaret to her final resting place are Michael A. Mary Ozella Lacey, 90, of Abell, MD, died February 10, 2017 in Leonardtown, MD. Mary was born April 17, 1926 in Dynard, MD to the late Catherine E. Harris Thompson and Louis Marshall Thompson. Mary (Dickie) married Joseph Robert Lacey on May 3, 1943 in Bushwood, MD. Together they spent 70 wonderful years of marriage before his death in December, 2013. Mary was a housewife, farmer and restored antique furniture for a living. She enjoyed to crab and yard sale for antiques. She loved to dance and was a former member of the Country Music Club. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Patricia Ann “Patty” Smith, 55, of Charlotte Hall, MD, died February 9, 2017 in Leonardtown, MD. Patty worked in Food Service, with many different restaurants, for more than 25 years and was of the Nazarene faith. She loved bowling and collecting porcelain dolls and snowmen. She enjoyed doing all types of arts and crafts, especially crocheting. She liked solving word puzzles, cooking, and playing cards with her friends. She most enjoyed spending time with her family. Patty was the daughter of Conard Lee Summerfield and the late Ruth Carol Cobb Summerfield. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her brother, Timothy Dale Summerfield. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, of 30 years, William Walter Smith, Jr.; one daughter, Susan Marie Sloan, and her husband Ryan; two brothers, David R. Theo Walter (Ted) Karwasinski died peacefully at his home on the Nanjemoy Creek in Welcome, Maryland on February 6, 2017. He was born in Niagara Falls, New York in 1927 and joined the United Stated Marine Corps after graduation from high school. After being honorably discharged, he attended Georgetown University where he graduated from the School of Foreign Service in 1949. He worked for the Washington, DC Evening Star newspaper before joining the United States Central Intelligence Agency where he served as an analyst and later as head of the Eastern European Desk. Upon his retirement, he was awarded the Career Intelligence Medal in recognition of his exceptional achievements in his 28 years of service. He lived briefly in Washington, DC and then moved to Charles County, Maryland, residing in Waldorf and La Plata. He enjoyed country life, having purchased a tobacco farm in Dentsville, where he lived for several years. Later, he and his wife, Mary Ellen Williams Karwasinski, fulfilled a lifetime dream by purchasing a farm on the Nanjemoy Creek. His passion for golf started when he caddied as a young boy. Rena Kim Inderrieden, 86, of Waldorf, Maryland, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Born January 29, 1931 in Osaka, Japan, Rena was the daughter of the late Dong Wi and Soon Bae Kim. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years Herman Oliver Inderrieden, and sister Young-Hee Han. Rena is survived by her son, Charles and his wife Michele Inderrieden, White Plains, Maryland; grandchildren Alison and Jacob; brothers Choong-Hwan Kim (Kwang-Ju), Seoul, Korea; David Kim (Shirley), California; Kyue-Hwan Kim (Oon-Hee), New York; sister Namhi Chong (Sang-Soon), White Plains, Maryland; brother-in-law, Young-Soo Han; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews. Rena grew up in South Korea and graduated from Sang-Myung Women’s University with a Bachelors Degree in Korean Language and Literature. Harvey “Richard” Norris, age 69 of Port Tobacco, Maryland died February 7, 2017. Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam era and he was a retired Metropolitan DC Police Detective with 29 years of police service. He also worked with the Winchester, VA police department where he headed up a Tri-County Drug Task Force and with the United Nations “NATO” where he served one year in Bosnia. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing and being on the water. He had a love for old cars and poker games with old buddies. He was the son of Harvey Ray Norris and Florence H. Pabst. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam era, and was a retired baker at Safeway. He was an avid Redskins and Washington Nationals fan. He loved being at the beach with his family and grandkids, shopping, and craft fairs with his wife. He also enjoyed working on his yard and veggie garden and going to family cookouts. Carl Benjamin “Benny” Berry Jr. of Waldorf, Maryland, died at his home on February 7, 2017. He was 69 years old. Born on August 6, 1947 in La Plata, MD, he was the son of the late Grace Hamilton and Carl Benjamin Berry. Benny had his own home repair business was a member of the Waldorf Moose. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, showing off his 1968 Corvette and spending time with family and friends. Leonard “Curly” Bikowski, 87, of La Plata, MD passed away on February 9, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD. Born in Stevens Point, WI on December 11, 1929 to the late Jacob Bikowski and the late Josephine Przybylski Bikowski, Curly is also preceded in death by eight siblings and his beloved wife, Carmella “Millie” Bikowski.  He is survived by his sons, Donny Bikowski (Jill) and Tom Bikowski; brother,  Albert Bikowski; sister, Jeannette Olczewski; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.. Curly served in the US Army during the Korean War and spent 32 years in the Federal Government, retiring as a Librarian for the Department of Interior in 1979.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the American Legion in LaPlata.  An avid Redskins fan, he also followed the Nationals, Orioles, Packers and Wizards.  Curly liked playing poker and shooting pool in his community.  His greatest joy came from watching his grandchildren and great-children play sports.  Curly was famous for his chili and Thanksgiving mashed potatoes and gravy. Maryann Brewer, 74, of Aquasco, MD passed away on February 11, 2017 in Washington, DC. Born on June 11, 1942 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Thorne II and the late Mary Ruth Raffo Gaudia. Maryann loved riding horses, hand dancing, riding motorcycles, and shooting pool. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Maryann is survived by her husband of 23 years, Luke Brewer; her children, Anthony G. Eckstein, Robert P. Eckstein, Jr., and Lisa A. Eckstein; her grandchildren, Nicole M. Burger, Stashia M. Vincent A. Lentini, age 77, peacefully entered into eternal rest at his home in Leonardtown, Maryland on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born on August 22, 1939 in Auburn, New York to Antonio and Eleanor Lentini and moved with his family to Atlanta, Georgia when he was 13 years old. It was there that he spent the majority of his life. Vincent joined the U.S. Air Force briefly before returning to Atlanta where he attended cosmetology school and became a state-certified cosmetology instructor. He worked as an individual shop owner and as a teacher of cosmetology at the Occupational Educational Center North High School, retiring from the Dekalb County School System after 30 years. He also worked as a hairstylist at the Beauty College of Georgia. His clients and co-workers regarded him as a master at his trade and someone whom they could always count on for friendly conversation. After his retirement, Vincent moved to Maryland in 2010, to live near his daughter Jennifer. John “Jack” O’Brien, 52 of Hollywood, MD, died February 13, 2017 at Hospice House of St. Mary’s in Callaway, MD. He was born October 7, 1964 in Abington, PA to the late Roger J. O’Brien and Catherine McDevitt O’Brien. Jack was raised in Warminster, PA until he moved to St. Mary’s County in 2007. He had an artistic flair and enjoyed coloring and photography, particularly taking pictures of landscapes, sunsets and flowers. His hobbies included bowling, dancing, bocce ball, and listening to country music. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team. He enjoyed participating in bocce ball and bowling events with Special Olympics of SOMD from 2008-2012. He was always kind and caring and was deeply loved by all who knew him. Lorraine Agnes Noonan Boyd, 93, of Chaptico, MD died on February 14, 2017, at her home, Chaptico Manor, in Chaptico, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late James Joseph Noonan and Esther Walbor Redman Noonan and was born in Washington, DC on February 18, 1923. Mrs. Boyd attended Eastern High School and George Washington University. On April 24, 1944 she married her high school sweetheart, William Dunbar Boyd, M.D. at St. Peter’s Church in Washington, DC. Her four children, William Dunbar Boyd, II, M.D. (Duffy), Mary Evelyn Boyd-Crickmer (Tom), James Carroll Boyd, M. D. (Jennifer) and Lorraine Noonan Boyd Brewer “Bunny” (Rick), all of whom reside in St. Mary’s County, survive Mrs. Boyd. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Her husband, William Dunbar Boyd, M.D. and her grandson, William D. Boyd, III predeceased her, as did her brother William Joseph Noonan and her sister Eleanor Noonan Benner. Lottie Bernice Seger, 80, of Brandywine, MD passed away February 15, 2017 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in LaPlata, MD. Born September 8, 1936 in Pender County, North Carolina she was the daughter of Pearlie English and Nina Welch English. She came to Maryland with her parents in 1950. There she met Robert Seger in 8th grade and married him in December of 1955. Lottie was active for many years in the Immanuel United Methodist Women. She enjoyed delivering Christmas baskets and her favorite pastime was fishing at the river or creek. She was born on October 17, 1942 in Washington, D.C. to the late Charles W. Ellis and Edith I. Fennell. Judith was an excellent and personable car saleswoman. She was tenacious and had a special talent enabling her to sell many cars. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. Waltraud Marguerite Nelson, 80, of Great Mills, MD passed away February 15, 2017 at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC with her husband at her side. She was born on September 19, 1936 in Germany to the late Michael and Genoveva Henges Orth. In 1957 she married her beloved husband, Charles Henry Nelson in Germany. Together they celebrated over 59 wonderful years of marriage. She was an excellent cook and prepared many delicious meals. She enjoyed playing BINGO, croqueting and knitting. In addition to her beloved husband, Charles, Waltraud is also survived by her children, Josef, Maire Luise; her siblings: Willi Henges, Inge Lausberg, Lore Enxmann, Heiz Henges and Rantae Baun Henges; and her step-children: Charles Ray Nelson, Rosemary Jallah, Shirley Yates, Louise Cheese,Michael Nelson, Eric Nelson, Louis Price and Lee Price. Also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and step-son, Joseph Nelson. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., with a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will be private. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A.

Clara Mae Thomas, 90, of Hollywood, MD passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 13, 2017 in Solomon’s, MD. Born on April 9, 1926 in Hollywood. She was the daughter of the late Mary Beatrice Wallace Mattingly and Albert Lee Mattingly. Clara was the loving wife of the late Robert Lee Thomas whom she married on March 5, 1948 in Patuxent River, Maryland, and who preceded her in death on August 27, 1993. Clara is survived by her son Robert Leo Mattingly of Columbus, GA, granddaughter Patrice Smart (Cecil) of Panama City, FL, 3 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. As well as her siblings; Rose “Sis” E. Adams of California, MD, Charles “Pete” Mattingly (Shirley), William “Repete” Mattingly all of Hollywood, MD, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Michael Thomas, siblings: Joseph A. Mattingly, Thomas F. Mattingly, Rose Bernette Cusic, and Mary B. Cusic.
