Servant of God, Well Done! Rest from Thy Love Employ. The Battle Fought, The Victory Won, Enter Thy Master’s Joy. Jerry Jones Blackwell, 74 was called home by the Lord on September 17, 2014. He was one of six children born to the late Climmie and Mable Blackwell on June 18, 1940, in Cincinnati, OH. Jerry grew up and attended school in the Chicago, IL area. He later joined the military and served in the United States Air Force. It was during his tour of duty that he met and married Darlene Bellinger of San Antonio, TX, to which one daughter, Scarla Gilbert, was born. Upon discharge from the military, Jerry moved to New Jersey where he learned the jewelry business and became regional manager of several stores. He later relocated to Los Angeles where he opened and managed jewelry stores for a major jewelry chain in several West Coast cities. Jerry later embarked upon a life of entrepreneurship owning his own jewelry store, a commercial janitorial business, and an optical store in Los Angeles, CA where he lived for over 30 years. Margaret Christine “Peggy” Warr, 65 of Lusby, MD passed away September 21, 2014 at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Born May 2, 1949 in Washington D.C., she is the daughter of the late Daniel Henry Hudson, Sr. and Margaret Isabel Morris Hudson. On October 10, 1980, Peggy married her beloved husband, William “Bill” Warr in Upper Marlboro, MD. Together they celebrated 34 wonderful years of marriage. She was employed as a Program Analyst by the U.S. Federal Government until her retirement. Family was Peggy’s greatest joy. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her children and later her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping at the beach, mountains, the Safari Campground, and Brunswick, ME. She also enjoyed going to the amusement parks. Peggy was a fabulous cook, and was known by her grandchildren for her delicious gravy. She had a great sense of humor, and was always up for a good joke. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together and watching the Price is Right. Bradley A. Turner, age 55, of Lusby, MD and formerly of Greenbush, MI, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014. Brad was born on December 18, 1958 to Elouise and Jerry Waldon Turner in Adrian, MI. Brad grew up on the shores of Lake Huron boating, snowmobiling, and hunting. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan and spent 22 years as a Navy Pilot. After retirement he continued to work for the Navy as a civilian. He was a devoted husband and father. He was an avid sailor, outdoorsman, and photographer. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley Turner, and his three children, Lindsey Turner, Brittany (Jason) Alt, and Matthew Turner. He is also survived by his mother Elouise Turner, his sister Kimberly Cousineau, and his brother Dennis (MaryGrace) Emerson. He also leaves behind two nieces and six nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Jerry W. Turner. He will be deeply missed by his friends and extended family. Paul Gozaloff, 84, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on September 28, 2014 at Levindale Nursing Home in Baltimore, MD. He was born on June 23, 1930 in New York City, NY to the late John Gozaloff and the late Kathleen (Hipple) Gozaloff. Father Paul was ordained in 1956 and served as a Roman Catholic Priest for Archdiocese of Washington. He was most recently affiliated with Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mechanicsville, MD, where he was pastor for 19 years until his retirement. He also belonged to the Mechanicsville Rescue Squad and was a retired EMT. Father Paul is survived by his two brothers, Gerard Gozaloff of Sayville, NY, John Gozaloff of Bethpage, NY, 6 nephews, 2 nieces and 8 great-nephews and nieces. Ida Catherine Doverspike Wolfgang, 90 died on September 27, 2014 at St. Mary’s Nursing Center in Leonardtown, MD. Born May 31, 1924 in Mt. Tabor, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russell Doverspike and Martha Smith Doverspike. On May 24, 1947, Ida married Jay R. Wolfgang. They were married for 58 years until his death in 2005. She lived in Carmichaels, PA from 1950 and moved to Ringgold, PA in 1978. She lived in Ringgold until 2011 when she became a resident of St. Mary’s Nursing Center. She was an avid reader and loved baking. She was a loving wife and mother and was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church. Ida is survived by her daughter, Debra Bargar and her husband, Eric of Mechanicsville, MD; family friend, Jill Morris of Hollywood, MD; three brothers and their families, Jim and Ruby Doverspike, Carl and Kay Doverspike, and Gary and Connie Doverspike, all of Ringgold; her sister-in-laws, Rebecca Beall, Jeannette Kluciar; and brother-in-laws, William Wolfgang and Donald Wolfgang. Maxine Nye, 95 of Leonardtown, MD passed away September 26, 2014 at Solomons Nursing Center. Born February 2, 1919 in Washington D.C., she is the daughter of the late John Edwards and Helen Hoagland. Maxine attended Miami of Ohio College and earned a Master’s Degree from Columbia University in New York. She began her career in education, teaching Biology in Burgundy Farms Country Days School in Alexandria, VA and George Mason High School in Falls Church, VA. After relocating to Southern Maryland, she was a para educator at Seven Gables School in Town Creek. She left education and started Maxine Realty in Lexington Park, MD, and later joined Durkin’s Realty. With over 30 years of dedicated service in real estate she retired in 2005. Maxine was driven and passionate in everything she did. She had a fulfilling and exciting life attending many social functions, including the White House. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed anthropology, travelling and had a deep appreciate for wildlife, especially wolves. Edward George Pinno, 86 of Great Mills passed away on September 26, 2014 at the University of MD Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD. Born February 17, 1928 in Fond du Lac, WI, he was the son of Margaret and Edward E. Pinno. He was the youngest of four children, all who preceded him in death: Carroll Snyder, Eva Logan, and Gladys Schumacher. He was married to Lillian (Mead) Pinno on June 12, 1954, who preceded him in death. He is survived by Alma D. Pinno whom he married June 9, 1989. He is also survived by his five children: Krista Greenwell of Brunswick, Erin Pinno of Great Mills, Roger Pinno (DeAnna) of Hollywood, Bonnie McGee (Kevin) of Summerville, SC and Keith Pinno (Debbie) of Charleston, SC; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Born June 10, 1943 in Houtzdale, PA, he was the son of Joseph Perok and Evelyn G. Close Perok. Joe worked as a manager in the Equipment Division for the U.S. Senate. He loved to go camping, tinkering with building and carpentry projects, “Natural Light” beer and country music. He was a member of American Legion Post 233 in Indian Head, MD. George Thomas Brandon, 86 died on September 27, 2014 at his residence in Bushwood, MD. Born September 5, 1928 in Beacon, NY, he was the son of the late Ernest Clifford Brandon and Ruth George Brandon. In 1946 George enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country as a Cook until his honorable discharge in 1949. In 1956, he began working with the United States Postal service as a dedicated electrician until his retirement in 1989. He was a superb handyman, and could fix everything. He built his own homes and helped his son and daughter with many home projects. He had a bountiful garden every year and was a fabulous cook. He and Denise enjoyed travelling, particularly to St. Thomas. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Thomas George Repasi of Mechanicsville, MD, died peacefully at home on October 1, 2014. He was born November 18, 1945 in Braddock, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Repasi. He served with the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam War era, worked for what was then DC WASA as a wastewater plant operator at the Blue Plains facility for 35 years, from 1969-2004, in Southwest Washington, D.C. until his retirement in 2004. Thomas then worked part time for St. Mary’s Count y Department of Public Works as an attendant mainly at the St. Andrew’s Church Road transfer station beginning in 2005 until retiring in 2011. He leaves behind to cherish memory his loving wife, Rose Marie Repasi, son Ronald Repasi and his wife Bonne of California, son Dennis Repasi and his wife Christine of Mechanicsville and daughter Jennifer Lamp and he husband Michael of California, and grandchildren Victoria Repasi, Steven Repasi, Thomas Respasi, Bailie Anthony, Nolan Repasi, Briana Padgett, Anna Repasi, and Julia Repasi. Aida Emilia Misch of Lexington Park, MD passed away on September 27th, 2014 at Washington Hospital Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept 17th, 1939 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, to the late Epismenio and Providencia Perez. After she raised four children while working as a cosmetologist, she was a doting grandmother with ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. An avid and excellent cook, Aida taught many to appreciate the finer points of Puerto Rican cuisine. Her home-canned goods including fruits, vegetables, jams and jellies won numerous awards at every county fair in which they were entered. She is survived by her four children: Robert Moody, IV of Hampton, VA; Donald “Chuck” Moody of Lexington Park, MD; Timothy Moody of Virginia Beach, VA; and Elizabeth Munday of Lexington Park, MD; her stepchildren Eva Duley of Ridgely, MD, and Stephanie Simmons of Walla Walla, Washington; siblings Gloria Ridgeway of Blackwood, NJ and Luisa Reigle of Deltona, FL. Aida was preceded in death by her husband’s Robert Moody, III in 1978 and Hans Peter Misch in 2002.
