Born on March 17, 1980 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Amy Mae Anderson of Dameron, MD, and Charles William Anderson, Jr. of Calvert County, MD. Cary is survived by his sister Faith Lynn Anderson of New York, Aunts; Bettie Lou Reece, Paula Harrell, and Bobbie Jo Dorais, Uncles; Clifford Harrell, Jr., John Anderson, and a niece Angel S. Mudd. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Clifford and Lovella Harrell, Charles William Anderson, Sr., and Jennette Matthews. Cary graduated from Great Mills High School in Great Mills, MD. Norman T. Toledo, 48 of Lexington Park, MD passed away on August 24, 2014 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Born November 4, 1965 in Bugallon Pangasinan, Philippines, he was the son of Gertrudes (Terria) Toledo and the late Cayetano Toledo. Norman married the love of his life, Cecile Toledo, on March 11, 1992, in the Philippines. He loved to take trips back home to the Philippines to visit his family and friends. Norman moved to Maryland in 1991. He worked for Triton Metal Works. He enjoyed carpentry and being a handyman. Theresa “Terry” Ann Kuster Lamanna departed this earthly life on August 20, 2014 after a long illness. Terry was born on April 27, 1955 to Wayne (Joanne) Kuster and Barbara (Jerry) Beckman Korn in Severn, MD. Terry was predeceased by her husband Joseph Lamanna and her grandparents. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her beloved son Jared Andrew Lamanna; sisters Tammy (Bill) Richardson, Cindy (Michael) Bojokles, and Darlene (Bob) Pritz; brothers, Michael (Kim) Crampton and Vincent (Mel) Rogers; and her dear friends Michelle Johnson and Dale Lamanna. Terry worked for the P.G. County School Board at the Surrattsville Bus lot where she enjoyed her job as a Bus Aide assisting handicap children to and from school each day. Terry enjoy planting flowers each spring. She spent her vacation time attending country music concerts and Disney cruises with her son Jared. Terry especially loved decorating and entertaining at Christmas. A graveside service will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD on September 28, 2014. Constance Doreen Healy, 90 of Hollywood, MD died on 27 August 2014 at the St. Mary’s Nursing Center. Born in Fremantle, Western Australia on 22 June 1924, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey Stewart Lincoln Semmens and Hazel Lucy May (Clark) Semmens. She grew up in the city of Perth. During World War II, she met United States submariner, Wilson Pershing Healy of Missouri, stationed in Perth, and they were married in 1943. One of 12,000 war brides from Australia, she began her journey to America with two babies in 1946 along with 1200 other brides on an aging steam train that crossed Australia in six days. Despite the heat, they were unable to open the windows due to soot from the engine. Reaching Sydney, they boarded a ship for the long voyage to the USA that sailor’s called “The Diaper Run”. To be with his family more regularly, Healy transferred from the Navy to the Air Force and they lived on bases around the United States, ending in Dover, Delaware. Constance was proud to become a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1953. She was a homemaker, loved reading, tennis, swimming and was a champion bowler. […]

Stephen “Steve” Melvin Sparshott, 68 of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on August 29, 2014 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He was born on December 13, 1945 in Washington, D.C. to the late William Lawrence Sparshott and the late Dorothy (Knott) Sparshott. Steve retired as Supervisor from Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mary Helen Butler, 78, of Hughesville, MD quietly went on to be with the Lord at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, La Plata, MD on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Helen was born September 18, 1935 to the late Elizabeth Brown and Joseph Butler. Helen recieved her education at St. Mary’s Catholic School. Helen worked for the Farrall family for a number of years until her retirement. She resided in the Charles County Nursing Home, La Plata, MD for several years. Helen was a well-liked resident of the nursing home where she enjoyed television, bingo, cards, and crossword puzzles. Occasionally, Helen would leave the nursing home to enjoy outside activities with family and friends. Brenda worked as a Customer Service Representative for Verizon until she retired in 2003. Carroll “Dean” Wilson, 72, of Hollywood, MD passed away August 30, 2014 at MedStar of St Mary’s in Leonardtown, MD. Born on January 13, 1942 in Boone, NC, he was the son of the late Raymond D. Wilson and Mary A. Calloway Wilson. Dean, known to many as “Dino,” married his beloved wife, Barbara Jeanette Quade Wilson on September 22, 1967 in Leonardtown, MD. Together, they celebrated 46 wonderful years of marriage. He was employed by Aldridge Ford as a Body Shop Manager until his retirement in 2004. He served on the Board of Directors for the Breton Bay Country Club and was a member of the Patuxent Moose Lodge # 2393, Hollywood, MD. Mary Rita Dean, 75 of Hollywood, MD passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born June 28, 1939 in Leonardtown, MD and was the daughter of the late Francis Edgar Abell and Margaret M. Graves Abell. Mary Rita was affectionately known by many as “Maw Maw.” She attended Our Lady’s School in Medley’s Neck and St. Mary’s Academy in Leonardtown, MD. On February 23, 1957, she married her beloved husband, Francis Levi Dean, Sr. Together they celebrated 33 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in April 1990. She began her career as a nurse’s aide at St. Mary’s Hospital, and after 40 years of dedicated service she retired working in the Respiratory Department. The lifelong friendship and love she shared with her dedicated co-workers is a testament to the beautiful person she was. Edward Windsor Healy, 77 of California, MD passed away September 2, 2014 at Hospice House of St. Mary’s in Callaway, MD, surrounded by his loving family. Born April 4, 1937, atop the old Hurry General Store in Clements, MD he was the son of the late John Edward Healy and Agnes Emily Hurry Healy. Ed “Windsor” was a man of service. He loved his family, country and community. Ed left St. Mary’s County on October 1, 1954 to join the United States Air Force as the Korean Conflict was winding down. He served his country proudly as a Staff Sergeant, which included two tours in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he joined the U. S. Army National Guard and also served as a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve. When asked, “What happened to the Marines and Coast Guard, “he would respond, haven’t had time yet.” Returning home in the late sixties, he became a member of the Leonardtown Police Force. Brenda Delorise Barnes, 62 of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away on September 1, 2014 at Genesis Nursing Home, LaPlata, MD. She was born on April 14, 1952 in Leonardtown, MD to the late Frances L. Carroll and the late Thomas Barnes. Brenda received her education in St. Mary County Public School system; a graduate of Great Mills High School “Class of 1972″. Throughout the years, Brenda has been gainfully employed for several businesses, to include the commissary on base, Navy Exchange, Evans Seafood, Big Lots, Two Spot and the Horse Shoe Club. At the Horse Shoe Club is where she met the love of her life in 1977 and later married on April 30, 1982.
